About 4CSD: 4CSD creates collaborative learning opportunities for professional development practitioners in the 羞羞视频 Community Colleges in order to foster innovation and equity at each college. In partnership with the 羞羞视频 Community College Chancellor's Office, 4CSD advocates for funding, resources, and policy change to enable effective professional learning statewide. .

CCC | Equitable Hiring Practices Curriculum

Introducing the new built specifically for the 羞羞视频 Community Colleges. This curriculum showcases how equitable hiring supports student success and how every stage in the hiring process is an opportunity to increase the diversity of faculty, staff and administrators. 

Divided into three stages, pre-hiring, hiring and post-hiring, the EEO Hiring Curriculum reviews equitable hiring practices designed to increase the diversity of professionals across the campus.
 
Concrete examples, scenarios and directed reflections are provided to help you adopt and adapt these practices to fit your needs. .

Equitable Hiring Practices Modules

The following three modules make up the . The entire curriculum must be completed in sequential order to receive a certificate of completion.

Equitable Hiring Practices 1: Pre-Hiring

The first module in this curriculum emphasizes the importance of expanding the applicant pool. Practices reviewed include internship and mentorship programs; developing job announcements that attract diverse applicants; and focused outreach connecting to qualified candidates from different backgrounds.

Equitable Hiring Practices 2: Hiring

The second module in this curriculum emphasizes the importance of reducing implicit bias and giving all applicants the opportunities they deserve. Practices reviewed include diversifying hiring committees; leveraging EEO Representatives and committee member training; and promising practices for recommendation letters and preferred qualifications.

Equitable Hiring Practices 3: Post-Hiring

The third module in this curriculum emphasizes the importance of retaining diverse faculty and staff by keeping them engaged and satisfied. Practices reviewed include developing and implementing campus climate surveys; effective onboarding programs; equity-centered professional development; and establishing employee resource groups.
